Connect your AI tool
Corner has an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI tools can set up your website assistant, teach it, and tell you what visitors ask. You connect once with your Corner login. There are no API keys to copy.
Server address
Before you start
- A Corner account. Sign up if you don't have one; every plan can connect, and the AI tool works within your plan's limits.
- A confirmed email address. Assistants only go live on your website once the workspace owner has confirmed theirs.
- The AI tool gets your role in the workspace. Owners and admins can change everything it offers; agents can read conversations and work on leads; viewers can only read.
Claude
Works in Claude on the web, the desktop and mobile apps, and Claude Code.
Free, Pro and Max
- Go to Customize > Connectors. If Corner is listed in the directory, select it and choose Connect, then skip to step 4.
- Otherwise choose Add custom connector, name it Corner and paste the server address.
- Select Add, then Connect.
- Sign in to Corner, pick the workspace if you have more than one, and select Allow.
Team and Enterprise
An Owner adds Corner once under Organization settings > Connectors (Add, then Custom, then Web, and the server address). Each person then connects their own Corner account from Customize > Connectors.
Claude Code
Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose corner and sign in.
ChatGPT
Once Corner is in the ChatGPT directory, open Plugins in ChatGPT, search for Corner and select Connect. Sign in to Corner, pick the workspace and select Allow.
Until then, or to try it on your own account, add it as a custom server:
- Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, select Add, then Create custom MCP server. Your plan or workspace admin decides whether it is available.
- Name it Corner, paste the server address as the server URL and keep OAuth as the authentication.
- Tick I understand and want to continue, select Create as a plugin, then sign in to Corner and select Allow.
Cursor and other tools
Any MCP client that supports remote servers (Streamable HTTP) and OAuth sign-in can connect. In Cursor, add this to .cursor/mcp.json or under Settings > MCP:
In VS Code, add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
The first time the tool uses Corner, it opens a browser window to sign in.
What to ask
Ask in your own words. A few that work well:
- Set up Corner for https://example.com and add it to this site.
- What did visitors ask this week that the assistant couldn't answer?
- Teach it that we deliver within 10 km on Saturdays, and show me the answer before you save it.
- Make the chat button #2563EB and greet people with “Fresh bread, fast answers.”
- Who left their details this week? Draft a short reply to each.
Corner also adds four ready-made workflows, shown as commands or prompts in tools that support them:
- Set up Corner on my website
- Creates the assistant, installs the messenger in the project you're working on, and tests it.
- Weekly review
- Top questions, what the assistant missed, new leads and chats waiting on you, with three next steps.
- Answer unanswered questions
- Goes through the questions it couldn't answer, one at a time, and teaches the answers you approve.
- Follow up on leads
- Reads each new lead's conversation and drafts a reply for you to send.
Tools
Tools marked Reads change nothing, so your AI tool can run them without asking. Adds and Changes save something in your workspace, so your AI tool asks you before running them, and Corner's guidance tells it to show you what it will teach or change first. No tool deletes anything.

Data and privacy
- A connection reaches one workspace, the one you picked when connecting, with your role's permissions. It can't see billing, payment details or passwords.
- Corner receives only what your AI tool sends to a tool, such as a question to test, an answer to teach or a color to change. It never receives your chat with Claude or ChatGPT, your files or anything the AI tool remembers about you.
- Your AI tool receives the results of the tools it calls. Those can include visitor messages, the contact details visitors left and your team's internal notes on a conversation (marked as internal, so the tool never treats one as a reply the visitor saw), which then also fall under your AI provider's privacy terms. Corner leaves out visitors' device details and file names, and never sends the files visitors attach.
- Corner keeps a record of each connection (the tool's name and when you connected) so you can see and remove it. Changes made through an AI tool are saved the same way as changes made in the dashboard.
- Nothing from your workspace or your AI tool is used to train AI models.
- Disconnect any time in Settings > AI tools. The tool loses access at once. Leaving a workspace, or being removed from it, disconnects your tools from it too.
The full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
Limits
- Up to 120 requests a minute per workspace, across all connected tools.
- Test questions (ask_assistant) count toward a daily limit for test answers that depends on your plan, not toward your monthly conversations.
- Your plan's limits apply exactly as in the dashboard, for example how many assistants you can create.
- Connections stay signed in while you use them. One left unused for 30 days asks you to sign in again.
Troubleshooting
- “This connection no longer has access”: it was disconnected in Settings, or you left that workspace. Connect again.
- Wrong workspace: you choose the workspace while connecting. Disconnect it in Settings > AI tools and connect again to pick another.
- The assistant isn't showing on the site: ask your AI tool for the assistant status. It shows whether reading has finished, whether the snippet has loaded on the site, and whether the owner's email is confirmed.
- “Too many requests”: wait a minute and try again.
