Install the messenger on your website
Corner goes on your site with one line of code. It loads after your page, so it won't slow your site down. Pick your platform below; it takes about five minutes.
Your snippet
Your snippet is on the Install page in Corner, with your assistant's key already filled in. It looks like this. Paste the same line on every page where you want the messenger, usually once in a shared footer.
Not the one who edits your website? The Install page has an Email it to your developer button that sends the snippet, the steps and the security lines below in one message.
Any website
Paste the snippet just before the closing </body> tag in your HTML, or once in the shared footer template, then publish.
WordPress
- Install the free WPCode plugin (Plugins > Add New, search WPCode).
- Open Code Snippets > Header & Footer.
- Paste the snippet into the Footer box and select Save Changes.
- If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache so visitors get the new page.
Shopify
- Go to Online Store > Themes, open the menu (three dots) next to your theme and choose Edit code.
- Open
layout/theme.liquid. - Paste the snippet just before
</body>and select Save.
Wix
- Go to Settings > Custom code and select Add Custom Code.
- Paste the snippet.
- Choose All pages and Load code once, set the place to Body end, then select Apply.
Wix allows custom code only on a paid plan with a connected domain.
Squarespace
- Go to Settings > Developer tools > Code injection.
- Paste the snippet into Footer and save.
Code injection needs the Squarespace Core plan or higher.
Webflow
- Open Site settings > Custom code.
- Paste the snippet into Footer code and save.
- Publish the site.
Custom code needs a paid Webflow site plan.
Next.js
In app/layout.tsx, import Script from next/script and place the tag inside <body>:
React and Vue
Paste the snippet into index.html just before </body>, then build and deploy as usual.
Lovable, Bolt and v0
The Install page has a ready-made prompt for AI website builders. Copy it into your builder's chat; it adds the snippet for you. Then publish the site.
You can also set up Corner from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: see Connect your AI tool.
Check it's live
Open your website once after publishing. The Install page in Corner then changes to Live, usually within a minute. The messenger only goes live after you confirm your email address, so check your inbox for Corner's confirmation link if you haven't yet.
The messenger loads only on your own website address, its subdomains, and any other domains you add under Allowed domains on the Install page. That stops anyone from copying your snippet onto another site.
If it doesn't show
- Confirm your email address. Until then the assistant isn't live.
- Publish the site after pasting, and clear any caching plugin or CDN cache.
- Check the page address is your own domain or one listed under Allowed domains.
- If your site has a strict security policy, it blocks scripts it doesn't list. The Install page checks this for you and shows the exact lines to add. See Content Security Policy.
- Check the assistant isn't paused, and that your plan's monthly conversations haven't run out (the messenger still shows, but takes details instead of answering).
- Still stuck? Write to [email protected] with your website address.
